Suzanne Lyons, PRODUCER/ EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

In 1999 Ms. Lyons launched Snowfall Films and to date has produced/executive produced twelve movies. These include: A BAFTA award-winning British comedy UNDERTAKING BETTY (aka “Plots With A View”), with actors Christopher Walken, Brenda Blethyn, Alfred Molina and Naomi Watts with Miramax Distribution. British/Canadian thriller JERICHO MANSIONS starring James Caan, Genevieve Bujold, Maribel Verdu and Jennifer Tilly. JERICHO MANSIONS was an official selection at the Montreal Film Festival and the Hollywood Film Festival. British/Canadian family comedy BAILEY'S BILLION$ which stars Dean Cain, Laurie Holden, Tim Curry, and Jon Lovitz. A drama HEART IS DECEITFUL ABOVE ALL THINGS, based on J.T. LeRoy novel, starring Asia Argento, Marilyn Manson, Winona Ryder and Peter Fonda. The film premiered during the Directors Fortnight at the Cannes Film Festival and screened to high acclaim at the Toronto Film Festival.

Suzanne co-produced the family film THE CHAPERONE with the WWE and distributor Samuel Goldwyn Films, directed by Stephen Herek (“Mr. Holland's Opus”) and starring Ariel Winter (“Modern Family”) and wrestling star Paul Levesque (Triple H). In addition, Ms. Lyons produced three indie thrillers, CANDY STRIPERS distributed by Screen Gems, SÉANCE and PORTAL, both distributed by Lionsgate, and exec produced DESERT OF BLOOD.

Suzanne co-exec produced the psychological thriller, THE CALLING with Breaking Ball Pictures, Manis Films (“Ides of March”) and Christine Vachon (“Boys Don't Cry”), with Jason Stone directing and Sony doing distribution. The cast includes Susan Sarandon, Ellen Burstyn, Donald Sutherland and Topher Grace. Suzanne produced a thriller titled MOST LIKELY TO DIE with MarVista Entertainment and most recently a family action adventure sci-fi film TIME TOYS produced with Director/Writer Mark Rosman (“A Cinderella Story”).

Suzanne has partnered with Rob Deege and Bleiberg Entertainment on her Mark L. Smith (“The Revenant”) suspense thriller HARDCOURT. She has also partnered with Rob Deege and with British producer, Simon Brooks, Canyon Creek Films, on Mark L. Smith's family film project THE HUNTERS. Suzanne is currently working as executive producer with Canadian producer Laura Archibald on EFFA, the true story about the first woman to own and manage a professional baseball team and she's teamed up with producers David Loya and Melanie Arden to exec produce their sci-fi film G.O.D. OS. Suzanne is in development on an award-winning screenplay, SCOUTS HONOR which is a World War I family action drama and she has partnered with producer Michel Shane (“Catch Me if You Can”) on STRICTLY BUSINESS, a sit-com written by writer/show-runner James Thorpe.

Prior to her work as a film producer, Ms. Lyons was VP of Marketing for a Canadian Television Network where she also created, produced and directed news and series programming. She worked in Philadelphia as a sales agent selling both film and television for international distribution. When Suzanne moved to Los Angeles she designed, launched and ran a film school, Flash Forward Institute, for people of all facets and levels of the industry.

Suzanne has done speaking engagements at over seventy entertainment industry events, festivals, organizations, guilds and film schools. In 2012 she published her book through Focal Press (Taylor and Francis Publishing) titled Indie Film Producing: The Craft of Low Budget Filmmaking (www.suzannelyons.net/indiefilm).
